Navigant Publishes Children’s Book to Support National Reading Day

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 22, 2016-- Today, Navigant (NYSE: NCI) and author Craig Frazier announced the limited edition release of the children’s book, Catch That Hat! The colorfully illustrated book about the importance of perseverance will be donated to children’s libraries, nonprofit organizations, and schools across the globe in conjunction with National Reading Day in the United States.

Catch That Hat! advances Navigant’s One Million by 2020 (1Mx2020) program, which aims to positively impact one million youth by helping to improve the college and career readiness of tomorrow’s leaders by the year 2020. The concept of the book was developed in 2012 with the launch of Navigant’s 1Mx2020 program. As Navigant’s workforce contributed to the 1Mx2020 goal over the last three years, illustrations on each page of the online book were revealed to show the firm’s growing impact.

• Navigant will donate Catch That Hat! books to Chicago’s North Kenwood / Oakland School (NKO). The 2015/2016 school year marks Navigant’s ninth year as volunteer partners with NKO, where Navigant employees provide ongoing mentoring to fourth and fifth grade students.
• Navigant will donate books for distribution to all Boulder, CO public elementary schools through the Boulder Valley Education Association, an organization that promotes quality public education.
• Navigant’s Houston office will partner with Houston’s Books Between Kids to deliver Catch That Hat! to home libraries for Houston children in need and Houston Independent School District elementary school students.
