Navigant Consulting Expands Its Disputes and Investigations Practice
CHICAGO, May 25, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) --Navigant Consulting, Inc. (NYSE: NCI) has expanded its Texas Disputes & Investigations practice with the addition of Managing Directors Jeffrey Harfenist and Scott Van Meter and Directors Robert Lang and Rob Maher. The addition of these senior leaders further strengthens Navigant's capabilities in the areas of complex litigation and investigations and expands the resources available to clients in the Texas market.

Jeff Harfenist has managed and directed domestic and international forensic, fraud, FCPA and internal investigations for public and private companies in various business sectors. Harfenist has extensive experience in analyzing damages in commercial litigation, investigating fraud and performing due diligence analysis. He has consulted with clients in a wide range of industries including financial services, insurance, telecommunications, energy, and chemical and industrial services. Prior to joining Navigant, Harfenist served as the National Fraud and Forensic Service Line Leader and led the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act team and the FCPA Special Interest Group for an international business consulting firm.

Scott Van Meter has more than 25 years of diverse professional experience in forensic and investigative accounting and litigation consulting. Van Meter has managed consulting engagements and testified as an expert witness in complex commercial litigation cases related to accounting and auditing malpractice and economic damages, and in bankruptcy matters, including valuation, avoidance matters, contested confirmations and claims litigation. Van Meter has particular experience in antitrust damage issues. Prior to joining Navigant, Van Meter held senior consulting positions with several other global consulting firms and was the founder and managing partner of Van Meter & Associates LLP, a litigation and financial consulting firm. He has also practiced law, including work in corporate restructuring and commercial litigation.
Robert Lang has more than 15 years of professional experience advising clients on a wide range of business disputes and investigations. Lang has served as an expert and testified in high profile cases involving hundreds of millions of dollars and has led large investigations into complex economic and accounting issues. He also has extensive experience assisting companies with preparing and negotiating first party insurance claims. Prior to joining Navigant, Lang was the Forensic/Litigation/Valuation practice leader in the Dallas office of an international business consulting firm.
Rob Maher brings over 12 years of professional experience advising clients on e-Discovery issues and digital forensics in litigation matters. As a member of the firm's business development team, Maher will focus on bringing solutions and services to Navigant clients and their counsel, particularly in the areas of e-Discovery, fraud investigations and computer forensics. Prior to joining Navigant, Maher was a Manager in the Forensic/Litigation/Valuation practice for an international business consulting firm.
