Brings deep payer and provider expertise with a focus on government
programs

Provider and payer consulting expert Kai Tsai has joined Navigant (NYSE:
NCI) as a managing director in its Healthcare
segment. In this role, Tsai will lead the firm’s health plan
consulting solutions, advising public and private plans,
provider-sponsored health plans (PSHPs), and health systems on
government and commercial program strategies.
Tsai has assisted both payers and health systems with developing and
implementing sustainable strategies across such programs as Medicare
Advantage (MA), Medicare Part D, the Medicare Shared Savings Program,
Medicaid, Dual Eligibles and Special Needs Plans. This includes
strategic growth planning and new market launch, provider network
selection and integration, product portfolio design, value-based
programs, revenue management, and MA star ratings improvement.
According to David Burik, managing director and leader of Navigant’s

deepen our ability to assist health plans and systems with their

Tsai previously served as executive vice president of transformation at
RowdMap (acquired by Cotiviti (NYSE:COTV)), where he led key accounts in
leveraging the company’s benchmarks to support development of high-value
provider networks. Prior to that he led Valence Health’s advisory
services practice, helping position providers for value-based
arrangements and development of PSHPs. Tsai holds a Master of Health
Services Administration from the University of Michigan.
